Bravehearts Musings
Design
Plain and simple, no bells and whistles. The focus is on teaching.
TopExternal and General
- I get more work done when not connected to the Internet.
- Focus on removing these bullet points to clear down the work load. I tend to add more work before completing tasks that I have already set.
- Focus on removing files once my intranet has resolved a topic.
- Working on http://template/ Always use the home page to add new template functionality.
- Any new features must be added to template, such as TOC.
- Working on /pending/web-book/
- Re-name myCompany folder structure and update all links, documentation to match.
- ItemThree.
Setup
- Document my XHTML to XHTML transformation.
- Working on /pending/setup/
- I must emulate the actual resource domain URL (probably http://resource.itevolution.co.uk), otherwise I will have to change all the links.
- Might also look at another VM set up for IIS (probably IIS 6) with PHP 5 and MySQL 5 configured, and then attach to the same data files on the USB drive.
- ItemThree.
Structure
- Test abbr and wikipedia in IE.
- Working on /structure/document-linear-layout/
- ItemThree.
Presentation
- Use to sort out the CSS files.
- Might be an idea to do my IE CSS fix file next.
- I now need to set up an IE test environment. Disable all CSS and work through each of the style rules viewing in IE. I will need to try and see apache runninh in the host VM from the other VMs. Interesting.
- Don't move on until CSS is sorted across browsers.
- Make a couple of png files for different zebra line colour combinations.
- Don't move on until tested in IE.
- Working on /pending/presentation/css/framework
- Working on /pending/presentation/css/ie-bugs/w3c.html (This has jQuery removed so no errors occur in IE5.5 and below)
- Working on /pending/presentation/css/ie-bugs (Now with jQuery added).
- Continue adding notes to /structure/document-linear-layout/, referring to YAML at 2.2 The Basics: Floats.
- ItemThree.
Behaviour
- Use to start my OOJS project.
- The next page to work on will be OOJS.
- Working on X (Next step will be to fix and introduce lazy loading)
- ItemThree.
Modules
- Will need to update module global files, such as chili.css and chili.js
- Modules like nav4 can still be external with default supporting resources but in the case of nav4, I would like to have separate css/js files for all, top, left, right, bottom, top/bottom, left/right combinations.
- ItemThree.
Completed
- Confirmed that http://progressive-enhancement/structure/document-linear-layout/ and /structure/document-linear-layout/ are both set up correctly for client-side friendly URLs.
- Try adding structure to the end of the current URL in the address bar to see the effectiveness of friendly URLs.
- Created a global resources virtual domain for anything that is truly global to all my sites and can take advantage of beating the two connection download limitations and to assist with centralising code maintenance.
