A Far Better Experience
If only you knew what you might be missing all across the web!

You have arrived at this page possibly because you are not getting the best experience I can give you here at IT Evolution.

Fully-Functional Web Site

CygnusPlease do not worry. This site is fully-functional for you at this moment in time and you do not have to take any further action but ....

Progressive Enhancement

The site has been specially designed so that all visitors can access its content.

If the device you use to access the Internet supports more advanced web technologies, then the pages you view on this site will make use of those technologies, to give you a much better user experience. However, you may need to upgrade to achieve the best possible experience.

Internet Explorer Users (Special Note)

Every version of Windows comes pre-installed with a particular version of Internet Explorer (IE). In order to take advantage of the vary latest technologies, you will need IE9. Unfortunately, this version only runs on Windows 7. Having payed for and upgraded to Windows 7, you may now find that you also need to get a higher spec' computer to run this OS.

If you simply want to take advantage of these latest technologies at no cost, then simply download another browser now (see my upgrade advice). You will still be able to use your version of IE alongside your new browser.

You Cannot Upgrade

If, for whatever reason, you are unable to upgrade your Internet User Agent (device/Browser), then just continue to access this site as normal.

JavaScript Errors

I have made a big effort to stop very old devices from trying to read JavaScript code they do not understand.

During my tests, there was only one old browser I could not protect from reading my code.

This is Internet Explorer Version 4. Users of IE4 will experience JavaScript errors when they visit many web sites on the Internet. It is an ancient browser of days gone by and we are now at version 9 of Internet Explorer (Version 8 if you do not have the Windows 7 operating system).

If you cannot upgrade, then I recommend that you disable scripting. Using your browser menu, follow these steps by going to:

  1. View
  2. Internet Options
  3. Security
  4. Custom
  5. Settings
  6. Scripting
  7. Active scripting
  8. Disable

Upgrade Your Experience

It is not just me that is trying to encourage you to upgrade. Please read why you are missing out on a much better and safer experience

Web Developers

For web developers, potential or experienced, I recommend the Firefox browser. It's free, available across all platforms and has loads of tools and utilities to help you build your web applications. You will still be able to use your favourite browser alongside Firefox.
